The Effectiveness of A program based on the theory of successful intelligence on the Development of Reflective Thinking and Academic Aspiration among University Students

Abstract

     The aim of this study was to explore the effectiveness A program based on the theory of successful intelligence on the development of reflective thinking and academic aspiration among university students. The study employed a quasi-experimental design with two groups: an experimental group of 32 students and a control group of 31 students at Umm Al-Qura University. The Reflective Thinking Scale and the Academic Aspiration Scale and a program designed by the researcher were used to collect data. The results revealed statistically significant differences between the means of the experimental group and the control group in the post-test scores on the Reflective Thinking Scale, in favor of the experimental group. Additionally, there were statistically significant differences between the means of the experimental group and the control group in the post-test scores on the Academic Aspiration Scale, in favor of the experimental group, the results also showed that there were no statistically significant differences at the level of significance (α≥ 0.05) between the average scores of the post- and sequential measurements for the experimental group members on the contemplative thinking scale and the academic ambition scale.
