A Proposed Strategy for Developing Scholar Activities in Light of Contemporary International Changes

Abstract

        The Research aimed to: analyze the internal and the external environmental context of scholar activities at the secondary stage to determine the current reality of activities, as in light of contemporary international changes, scholar activities face enormous challenges, and traditional methods of practicing scholar activities are no longer sufficient to meet the requirements of the current era, therefore the main goal hereof is to develop a proposed strategy to develop scholar activities to keep pace with contemporary international changes.
The study is descriptive, analytical, and relying on the case study approach using the method of comprehensive inventory of social workers in the general secondary schools of the East Kafr El-Sheikh Educational Administration, of 4 schools, 12 social workers, and 12 social experts working in the same administration.
The researcher used tools for the study, which consisted of: two questionnaire forms, the interview, group discussions, and a listening session.
The study reached a set of results whose most important are:
There are strengths that can be enhanced and supported, weaknesses that must be addressed and treated, available opportunities waiting to be used, and external threats that have to be confronted by taking advantage of the available opportunities to the utmost.
Accordingly, a proposed strategy has been developed based on SO Strategies to enhance and support strengths by investing in available opportunities - ST Strategies to enhance strengths to remove the causes of potential threats - WO Strategies to treat weaknesses by investing in opportunities.
