A Suggested Perspective for improving the practices of Strategic Management at faculties of Jazan University

Abstract

     The research aimed at setting a Suggested Perspective for improving the practices of Strategic Management at faculties of Jazan University. To achieve this goal, the research used the descriptive method. It also used a questionnaire to collect the necessary data from the research sample which consisted of (302) faculty members at faculties of Jazan University. The research concluded that the level of strategic management practices at faculties of Jazan University was at a moderate degree with a weighted mean (1.99). As for the dimensions, the environmental analysis dimension came first with a weighted mean (2.15), then the strategy formulation dimension with a weighted mean (2.06), after that the strategy implementation dimension with a weighted mean (1.93) & the strategic sensorship dimension came last with a weighted mean (1.79). There were also no statistically significant differences among the sample’s responses concerning the variables (gender – job degree - nature of the study) while there were statistically significant differences among their responses concerning the variable of leadership position (occupied - not occupied) in favor of occupied and in the light of the research objectives and results, the researcher set the suggested perspective to improve those practices.
