Perceived Social Support and Self-Esteem and their relation with Depressive Symptoms in Adolescents with Physical Disability

Abstract

    The Current Research aimed at  examining the relationship between perceived social support and self-esteem and their relation with depressive symptoms. The Number of the participants in the research was (50) male and female adolescents, (35) male, (15) female, aged (16-18) years, with an average of (16,9) and (0,66) .Measures of the study were Perceived social support scale (Prepared by the researcher) , self-esteem scale (Prepared by the researcher), and Depression scale (Prepared by the researcher). The results of the research revealed the existence of a negative correlation between perceived social support and depressive symptoms, existence of a negative correlation between Self Esteem and depressive symptoms, and existence of a positive correlation between perceived social support and self-esteem.
