Research title: A Proposed Program from the Perspective of the General Practice of Social Casework to Develop Attitudes of the University Youths towards Participating in the Digital Literacy Programs

Abstract

the current Study aimed to come up with a proposed program from the perspective of the general practice of Social Casework to develop attitudes of the university youths represented in (cognitive component – emotional component – behavioral component) towards participating in the digital literacy programs. To achieve the research’s goals, the case study approach was used through complete census method for all fourth-year students in the department of social work and community development at the Faculty of Education for boys, Al Azhar University in Cairo, whose number is 130 students. The Study tool was applied to them, which is a questionnaire ABOUT “Attitudes of university youths towards participation in the digital literacy programs”. It consists of 44 phrases divided into three dimensions, these are: the cognitive component included 15 phrases, emotional component included 13 phrases and behavioral component included (16) phrases. The Study results indicate that the emotional component as a whole came in the first place in relation to the other tool components, with arithmetic average of 2.58, which is a strong average and with standard deviation of 0.374. The behavioral component as a whole came in the second place in relation to the other tool components, with arithmetic average of 2.57, which is a strong average and with standard deviation of 0.419. The cognitive component as a whole came in the third place in relation to the other tool components, with arithmetic average of 2.47, which is a strong average and with standard deviation of 0.359. In light of this, a proposed program was developed based on many strategies, such as (behavior modification strategy – cognitive reconstruction strategy – cooperation strategy – communication building strategy – participation strategy), as well as set of professional means and methods, such as (interviews – discussions – meetings – lectures – seminars – training courses and workshops), by which attitudes of university youths towards participation in the digital literacy programs can be developed Taking into account the similarity of the particles and the similarity of the conditions that qualify for the possibility of generalization
