Abstract

This study aimed to explore the availability degree of excellence management standards at UmmAl-QuraUniversity in light of the European Model (EFQM) from the point of view of the administrative and academic leaders. The study followed the descriptive survey approach on a random sample consisting of (306) administrative and academic leaders. A questionnaire consisting of (46) items distributed on nine main dimensions (leadership, strategy, employee, partnerships and resources, operations, beneficiaries' satisfaction, employee satisfaction, community service, performance measurement) was used. The results concluded that the availability of standards of excellence management was average in the overall degree in eight criteria, while it was low in the criterion (employee satisfaction). The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between the sample members due to job title in favor of academic leaders. There were statistically significant differences due to the status of accreditation in the departments that obtained accreditation; while there were no differences attributed to gender or the years of experience. The study recommended the adoption of the university's Excellence Management Standards in accordance with the European Excellence Model (EFQM), increase the activation of employee satisfaction tools, and improving the communication process between the different leadership levels.
