The Reality of E-Governance Implementation in the General Administration of Youth Welfare at Al-Azhar University

Abstract

Despite the challenges facing Youth Welfare at Al-Azhar University, it recognizes the importance of moving towards e-governance in all its operations, starting with the General Administration of Youth Welfare at the university and linking it with its various departments in the faculties. It also works to develop programs and applications that facilitate communication and interaction, reflecting positive results in achieving the goals it seeks through the transition to e-governance and ensuring interaction between them. The research aims to identify the reality of e-governance implementation in Youth Welfare at Al-Azhar University, and the speed, accuracy, and transparency it achieves in its work, improving performance, and reducing existing negatives by increasing decentralization among administrative levels. This aims to reduce routine procedures that waste a great deal of time and effort in the decision-making process, while allowing greater freedom for employees to make decisions and leverage their capabilities in light of the significant developments in technology, especially in the information and communications sector. The researchers used the descriptive approach, given its suitability to the nature and objectives of the study. The primary research sample was randomly selected from the research community, comprising employees of the General Administration of Youth Care at the university, specialists working in the university's faculties in Nasr City, and a group of students participating in activities. The total number of students was (159). The researchers reached the most important results of the research: the possibility of providing modern devices to implement e-management within the Youth Care Department at Al-Azhar University; the possibility of contracting for modern communications and information networks and updating these methods periodically; and the possibility of utilizing experts in technological performance to conduct training courses on modern e-management methods.
