Mechanisms for Employing Artificial Intelligence in Human Development for a Changing World: An Islamic Educational Perspective

Abstract

This research aimed to identify the mechanisms of employing artificial intelligence in human development from an Islamic educational perspective. The research utilized the fundamentalist approach and the descriptive approach. It included a general framework that encompassed the research introduction, its problem, questions, objectives, importance, methodology, and previous studies. This was followed by three axes for the theoretical framework. The first axis covered the conceptual framework of artificial intelligence. The second axis addressed the importance of employing artificial intelligence in human development. The third axis explored the mechanisms of employing artificial intelligence in human development for a changing world according to the Islamic educational perspective.
The research concluded with the importance of artificial intelligence in human development for a changing world from an Islamic perspective. Since education aims to serve humanity, it should utilize interactive activities, encourage critical thinking, and connect learning with reality. These characteristics enable individuals to deal with challenges in a changing world. The research results also showed that artificial intelligence skills are not special abilities that individuals are born with; rather, they depend on the existence of a natural innate predisposition along with specialized and continuous training and education on the use and mastery of these skills. Any normal individual can acquire such skills through training to build their personality in accordance with the requirements of the times. The research further emphasized that the development of artificial intelligence is linked to a variety of methods that are selected according to the educational situation, learner characteristics, and the desired skill. The research concluded that the Islamic education's keenness to equip members of society with artificial intelligence skills is considered an Islamic principle. The use of many methods, tools, and aids to develop the skills of science and knowledge is a response to God's commands to employ the mind, and to expand and diversify the methods of rooting information that is built on deep analysis that leads to broad understanding, as well as discovering creative solutions and achieving cognitive integration between all fields.
The research also showed that effective, technology-driven education contributes to the development of thinking skills in humans.
