A Proposed Framework for Achieving Organizational Sustainability in Egyptian Faculties of Education Through Succession Planning

Abstract

This study aimed at providing a proposed framework for achieving organizational sustainability in Egyptian faculties of education based on succession planning practices. To achieve this objective, a descriptive approach was employed, and a questionnaire was applied to a sample of 247 faculty members from selected faculties of education in Egypt. The results revealed that the achievement of succession planning dimensions in Egyptian faculties of education was at a moderate level, with a weighted mean of 2.01 and a percentage of 66.92%. Similarly, the overall achievement of organizational sustainability across all its dimensions was at a moderate level, with a weighted mean of 2.00 and a percentage of 66.65%. Furthermore, simple linear regression analysis indicated a strong, positive, and statistically significant relationship between succession planning dimensions and the achievement of organizational sustainability in Egyptian faculties of education. The study concluded by presenting a proposed framework for achieving organizational sustainability in Egyptian faculties of education based on succession planning practices.
