Abstract

The current research aimed to identify the relationship between professional maturity and health behavior among a sample of the tenth grade in the Amman Capital Governorate, in the schools of the Amman Kasbah District. To achieve the research objectives, the sample was selected using a simple random method, and consisted of (200) male and female students. Two scales were used as a research tool: the professional maturity scale and the health behavior scale. The results showed that the level of professional maturity (as a whole) among the study sample members from the tenth grade students was average with an arithmetic mean, and the dimensions were at the average level, and were ranked first after the availability of information in making a professional decision and last after independence in making a professional decision, and that the level of health behavior (as a whole) among the research sample members from the tenth grade students was average with an arithmetic mean The dimensions ranged between the high and medium levels. My dimension (psychosocial, dealing with medications and drugs) came at the high level, and my dimension (public health care, body care) came at the medium level. There was a positive correlation between the dimensions of professional maturity and the dimensions of healthy behavior, and there was a positive correlation between the dimensions of professional maturity and healthy behavior (as a whole) There is a positive correlation between the dimensions of healthy behavior and professional maturity (as a whole), and there is a positive correlation between healthy behavior (as a whole) and professional maturity (as a whole). One of the most important recommendations is the necessity of conducting studies that address the relationship between both professional maturity and healthy behavior with other variables such as the gratitude variable.
