Abstract

The study aimed to examine the effectiveness of a counseling program in reducing administrative bullying behavior and its impact on professional motivation among employees at Al-Azhar University. The research sample consisted of 20 employees, aged between 50 and 55 years, with a mean age of 52.45 years and a standard deviation of 1.904. Participants were divided into two groups: an experimental group (n = 10) and a control group (n = 10). The researchers applied study instruments, which included the Administrative Bullying Scale, the Professional Motivation Scale, and the counseling program. The results indicated statistically significant differences in the mean rank scores of the experimental group on the Administrative Bullying Scale between the pre- and post-measurements, in favor of the post-measurement. Additionally, there were statistically significant differences between the mean rank scores of the experimental and control groups on the post-measurement of the Administrative Bullying Scale, in favor of the experimental group. However, no statistically significant differences were found between the post- and follow-up measurements for the experimental group on the same scale. Furthermore, there were statistically significant differences in the mean rank scores of the victims (experimental group) on the Professional Motivation Scale between the pre- and post-measurements, in favor of the post-measurement. Significant differences were also found between the experimental and control group victims on the post-measurement of the Professional Motivation Scale, favoring the experimental group. However, no statistically significant differences were observed between the post- and follow-up measurements on the Professional Motivation Scale among the victims of bullying behavior.
