Digital competencies based on the philosophy of artificial intelligence for the student teacher in the faculties of education "A forward-looking vision"

Abstract

The current research aims to analyze the philosophical frameworks and literature related to the concept of "artificial intelligence" and its philosophy, goals and objectives; to anticipate the most important digital competencies that student teachers in colleges of education should have and that result from it. To achieve this, the prospective approach was used to anticipate the future and its modern trends related to university education; the most important of which is artificial intelligence. The descriptive survey approach was used using the Delphi method; to identify the most important digital competencies that student teachers in colleges of education should have in light of the philosophy of artificial intelligence, which formed the axes of the questionnaire, represented by five axes, as follows: "digital information management competencies, technical digital competencies, personal digital competencies, legal and ethical digital competencies, and digital privacy and security competencies." The questionnaire was administered over three rounds; to reach stability in the responses of education experts regarding the importance of these digital competencies to determine their final form. Among the most important results: The responses of the group of experts were of great importance regarding the questionnaire axes combined, and the study recommended; The Supreme Council of Universities should adopt the themes of this forward-looking vision for digital competencies for student teachers in colleges of education from an artificial intelligence perspective, and provide all the requirements and capabilities necessary to implement and operate in accordance with its requirements.
