The Training Needs of Faculty Members at Colleges of Education from Their Perspective as an Approach to Developing the University Education System

Abstract

The training needs of faculty members in colleges of education from their point of view as an introduction to developing the university education to developing the university education system, and to determine the extent to which those needs differ according to the different variables, the gender of faculty member, his Job degree, and number of years of experience and previous training courses presenting some proposals that could contribute to meeting the training needs of faculty members in the faculties of education, which are necessary to achieve developing the university education system. The research used the descriptive approach, and the questionnaire was used as a tool for collecting field study data, and the questionnaire was applied on a sample of (316) faculty members in the faculties of education. In its results, the research reached the approval of the sample members of the faculty on the degree of (Large) importance of the statements of the four axes that make up the tool, one of the most important results of the research was the existence of a high degree of training needs among faculty members in all areas of the study, the most prominent of which was in the field of teaching and the least in the field of scientific research the study also confirmed that the most important skills in need of training from the perspective of faculty members were the development of higher thinking skills and life skills among learners, analyzing test results and using them in course development, and managing lectures on educational plat forms efficiently and effectively, the field study showed that there were no statistically significant differences between the responses of the sample members due to the variables of gender and degree, and there were statistically significant differences between the responses of the sample member sue to the variable of the number of years of experience and enrollment in training courses before in light of the results of the field study, the researcher presented asset of recommendations and proposals that she hopes will help decision makers in colleges of education to develop training programs that meet the actuals.
