Education and Human Formation from A Critical Perspective

Abstract

Today, the world is experiencing a great scientific and technological revolution that has led to tremendous changes in all areas of life, and its impact has been reflected on human and the formation of his personality, on society and all other human activity in the world in general. The current era is characterized by a rapid pace and a succession of events to the extent that some have described it as an era of absurdity, anxiety, cruelty and crises...which have led humanity to a state of alienation and the deprivation of human will. This requires awareness of all successive events and issues in this rapidly changing world, and this calls for renewed education and clarifying the foundations of formation a human being capable of facing the changes and developments of the age while being connected to his past and creative heritage, and heading successfully towards the future.
  Hence, the current research seeks to clarify the dimensions of formation the human being within the framework of a critical vision of the reality of those dimensions (mind - morals - knowledge – conscience- Emotion...) in formation the Arab human being, to move to a desired vision in each of those aspects with the aim of forming an integrated personality. The compassionate vehicle that stems from the Arab-Islamic identity, and at the same time lives the spirit of the age of science and technology and possesses its tools with critical awareness.
