Competencies of The Future Teacher in The Light of The Technological Educational Framework (TPACK) From the Point of View of Education Experts

Abstract

This study aimed to reveal the competencies of the future teacher in light of the technological educational cognitive framework (TPACK) from the point of view of educational experts. The study used the descriptive survey method and relied on a questionnaire submitted to a sample of educational experts in the specializations of (fundamentals of education - administration and planning - curricula - educational technology - psychology). It included (52) experts, in order to take their opinions in determining the most important competencies of the future teacher in light of the technological educational cognitive framework. (TPACK). The study found that the most important competencies that must be available in the future teacher in light of the TPACK framework are: The first axis competencies: Content knowledge is in the first order in terms of importance, followed by the fourth axis: competencies for integrating knowledge, content, education, and technology, then the third axis is competencies related to technology, then the fourth axis ranks fourth. Teacher competencies related to teaching principles include high skill in selecting teaching and evaluation methods, and high ability to interact with students. The study recommended the necessity of applying these competencies in teacher preparation programs.
