Abstract

The strength of societies today is measured by the strength and development of their individuals, which is referred to as human capital. This strength requires physical, psychological, and social well-being. Human capital needs a well-developed social environment that implements the latest technological methods in all fields of science and specializations. The medical field is one of the most significant areas that require modern technological advancements to provide advanced healthcare services that support societal progress. Robotics represents one of these key technologies, offering the highest levels of healthcare. The successful implementation of robotics in healthcare requires several factors, including economic, social, and cultural conditions, with social factors being the most influential on patients.
This study aims to shed light on the social factors associated with the uptake of robotic surgeries through a case study of a sample of patients. It is a descriptive and analytical study that adopts the case study method to examine the impact of social factors on patients' decisions to undergo robotic surgeries. These factors include cultural, educational, familial, and social relations, as well as economic aspects.
