Abstract

This study explored the Islamic educational approach to empowering women and examined the role of community institutions in activating this approach. Utilizing both fundamental and descriptive methodologies, the research was structured into a general framework followed by four key sections: the intellectual framework of women's empowerment in educational literature, the Islamic educational approach to women's economic and social empowerment, and the role of community institutions in implementing this approach. The study highlighted that Islam emphasized women's piety, eloquence, wisdom, and active participation in societal work, with indicators of empowerment including health, home, work, relationships, values, and both inner and outer strength. It found that Islam ensured equality between men and women in terms of economic freedom and financial independence, while also outlining necessary steps for activating economic empowerment, such as promoting equality, reducing negative influences, and reconciling tradition with Sharia law. Social empowerment, according to the study, required women's ability to integrate socially, respect diverse opinions, and manage their emotions effectively. Educational institutions were identified as key players in this process, contributing through curricula, teachers, and the learning environment, with a focus on moral development and cultural openness. The study concluded with recommendations for revising educational curricula to balance societal culture and global perspectives.
