Digital Control and Awareness of AI Technologies Employment in Teaching Science of the Faculty of Education Students at Al-Azhar University

Abstract

The study aimed to explore the status quo of digital control skills required for the employment of AI technologies in science teaching among the students of the Faculty of Education, Al-Azhar University, and the level of their awareness of employing these technologies. The research utilized the descriptive research approach.  The study community comprised of students of the Nature and Chemistry, and Biology departments, totaling 320 male students. The research sample consisted of a group of students from the two departments, totaling 180 students. A list of digital control skills required for the employment of AI technologies in science teaching was developed, from which the research tool emerged in the form of a questionnaire to determine the status quo of digital control skills and the level of awareness of these students in employing these technologies. The results showed that the level of digital control skills as a whole was moderate, and the level of awareness of employing AI technologies in science teaching was low.
