And the negative effects it has on employees, the job climate, their performance, and the efficiency of the human element’s performance in economic institutions. The study aims to reveal occupational bullying and its relationship to some social processes in the work environment (the field of education as a model), and to identify the relationship between occupational bullying and social adaptation as a process of social processes gathered within the work environment. As well as identifying the relationship between job bullying and competition as one of the differentiated social processes within the work environment. The importance of the study is highlighted in that it sheds light on an attempt to mitigate the negative effects on the segment of the workforce that drives production and is an important source of society’s progress and prosperity. The study sample was a random sample of (300) individuals from different professions in both colleges, and they were selected randomly. The results of the study resulted in a set of results adopted by the sample, the most important of which was the multiplicity of viewpoints on defining the nature of bullying within the work environment in the Colleges of Electronic Engineering and the College of Human Studies from the point of view of the total sample that was exposed to bullying within the work environment, and in first place came “directing criticism in a manner Unjustified and on an ongoing basis” by (64.02%) Which leads to belittling the victim and lowering her sense of self. The results of the field study also showed the diversity of bullying behaviors in the work environment, which falls at a “medium” level from the point of view of the study sample, with an arithmetic average of (1.73). The results of the field study also confirmed the existence of a relationship between job bullying and social adaptation to a large extent, and one of the most important manifestations of social adaptation within the work environment, which ranked first, was “I feel a social responsibility at work and communicating with others. The results of the field study also demonstrated the existence of a relationship between job bullying within the work environment and competition between employees within the work environment, and it was to a moderate degree, which contributes to the quality of life and enhancing productivity through continuous improvement, professional growth and efficiency. Accordingly, the research presented a set of recommendations and proposals to limit the spread of this phenomenon, the first of which is the necessity of establishing administrative controls that protect workers in Egyptian universities from bullying behavior in all its forms.
