The effectiveness of a training program based on active learning in developing the skills of student evaluation methods and reducing psychological burnout among primary school teachers

Abstract

The goal of the current research is to identify the effectiveness of a training program based on active learning in developing the skills of student evaluation methods and reduce psychological burnout among primary school teachers. To verify this, the researcher conducted current field research on a sample of (21) male and female primary school teachers and those working in the new educational system 2.0 in Ain Shams Educational Administration, they were divided into two groups, one of which represented the experimental group (n = 10), which was subjected to the training program based on active learning, and the other was the control group (n = 11). The equivalent of the two groups was verified.
The researcher used a measure of psychological burnout (prepared by the researcher), a measure of teachers’ skills in using methods for evaluating primary school students (prepared by the researcher), and a training program based on active learning (prepared by the researcher). The results of the research concluded that there are differences between the pre- and post-measurements of Skills of teachers’ use of student evaluation methods and measurement of psychological burnout among the experimental group in favor of post measurement. There are differences between grades’ levels of the experimental and control groups in the psychological burnout scale, and teachers’ skills in using student evaluation methods after the end of the program in favor of the experimental group. and there were no differences between post and tracking measurement of the experimental group on the test of teachers’ skills in using student evaluation methods and the psychological burnout scale.
