The Effectiveness of Professional Intervention from the Perspective of General Practice in Social Work in the Recovery of Drug Addicts from Psychological and Social Effects

Abstract

Research objective: To identify the effectiveness of the professional intervention of general practice in social service in the recovery of drug and psychotropic substance abusers. Through identifying the effectiveness of the professional intervention of general practice in social service and its role in the recovery of drug and psychotropic substance abusers from psychological and social effects, the research relied on the quasi-experimental approach of Through the use of two groups (the experimental group and the control group), the research sample consisted of (30) patients The research also used a measure of psychological and social effects (prepared by the researcher), and a program for professional intervention for general practice (prepared by the researcher).
The research results also found that there are no statistically significant differences at a significant level (0.05) between the effectiveness of professional intervention from the perspective of general practice in social service and its role in patients’ recovery from psychological effects between the experimental group and the control group in the pre-measurement. It also proved that there are no Statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05) Between the effectiveness of professional intervention from the perspective of general practice in social service and its role in patients’ recovery from social effects between the experimental group and the control group in the pre-measurement, while the research results concluded that there are statistically significant differences at a significance level (0.05) The effectiveness of professional intervention from the perspective of general practice in social service and its role in patients’ recovery from psychological effects between the pre- and post-measurements of the experimental group in favor of the post-measurement. As the results confirm, there are statistically significant differences at the level of significance (0.05).
