Abstract

The current Search aimed to determine the level of both situational remorse and goal orientations among a sample of students from the Rufaydah Al-Aslamiya College of Allied Health Professions, and to show whether there is a correlation between the variable of situational regret and goal orientations, and whether it differs according to the gender of the students (male, female). And the specialty of the study, as the study sample was (150) male and female students, who were selected by a stratified random method. To achieve the goal of the Search, the researcher developed two scales of situational remorse and goal orientations. Their validity and reliability were confirmed. The results indicated that the level of situational regret among the students of Rufaidah Al-Islamia College was at a high arithmetic average, while the results showed that the level of goal orientations among the students of Rufaidah Al-Islamia College was at an average level. The results also indicated that there was no statistically significant relationship between situational regret on the total grade and goal orientations on the total grade, and on two of its dimensions (mastery goals, performance - courage) among the students of Rufaidah Islamic College. The results showed a weak correlation between situational regret On the total score and between goal orientations on the (performance-reluctance) dimension.  The results also showed that the relationship between situational regret among students of Rufaidah Al-Islamia College of Supportive Professions and their goal orientations does not differ according to gender, and does not differ according to academic specialization.
