The educational role of Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa in light of its objectives

Abstract

        The study aimed to reveal the educational role of the Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa in light of its objectives. To achieve the goal of the study, the descriptive analytical approach was used to analyze the reality of the activities and services provided by the center and the extent to which they achieve their objectives. The study concluded that the Al-Azhar International Center for Electronic Fatwa addresses fatwas as an official institution established by Al-Azhar. Al-Azhar presents A set of roles are: The interactive role: represented by the establishment of an electronic fatwa bank and direct communication with respondents to answer their fatwas. The social role is represented by the establishment of three units: a reunification unit to solve family problems, a community and family awareness unit to educate those about to get married and educate them about married life. An entity unit to confront quasi-atheism. The educational role: represented by publishing articles, research, and holding seminars and workshops to raise awareness of societal problems and correct misconceptions about religion. The supporting role: preparing plans, programs, and workshops to raise the efficiency of the center’s members, including muftis and its employees, and that these roles consistent with the goals he set.
