The current study aimed to reveal the level of psychological needs and professional ambition in psychological alienation among non-Jordanian faculty members in Jordanian universities, And the study adopted the descriptive method, where the study sample consisted of (166) faculty members working in Jordanian universities, And the researchers developed the psychological needs scale, professional ambition scale, and psychological alienation scale and ensured their reliability and stability. The results showed that the level of psychological needs and professional ambition was high, while the level of psychological alienation was moderate, As the results showed a statistically significant negative correlation between the dimensions of the psychological needs variable (independence, self-efficacy and proximity to others) and the total score and each of the dimensions of psychological alienation (social isolation, meaninglessness) and the total score. The study recommends that faculty members should be encouraged to participate in university clubs to achieve more psychological satisfaction and to minimize the level of psychological alienation.
