Evaluating social care services in organizations for people with special needs in light of some international experiences

Abstract

        The research aimed for a general goal of evaluating social care services in organizations for people with special needs in light of some international experiences. One of the civil society institutions was chosen to conduct this evaluation, which was identified in the National Foundation for Family and Community Development, which is one of the largest and most important institutions working in the field of people with special needs. Special needs. The human field included a sample of parents of people with special needs who benefited from its services, whose number reached (102). The application of a tool that included three axes was relied upon. They are one axis that includes determining the level of services provided, and the second is to identify the difficulties that limit the level of services. Services, and the third includes a number of proposals that could contribute to raising the level of service in the institution. To achieve this, reliance was placed on the evaluative approach to the case study. After application procedures and the use of appropriate statistical analyses, the results came as follows:
Regarding the axis of the level of services provided from the point of view of parents, all of the health care, rehabilitation, cultural and recreational services, procedures for obtaining services, continuity in obtaining services, and the presence of humanitarian considerations when providing services were all achieved to a strong degree and had a level of satisfaction, while the level of economic services in the institution was at a degree Moderate achievement, which requires support and reinforcement in order to improve the level of services. The results of the Difficulties axis showed that it has a moderate degree of achievement, and this showed that the institution has capabilities through which it can confront the difficulties that appear, and the proposals axis showed that parents have A strong desire to participate in improving the level of services provided by the institution, as the responses to the axis came with a strong degree of verification, and based on the results reached, an interpretation of the results was presented through which a proposed vision could be presented for future work.
