Abstract

The purpose of the current research was to identify the effect of a developed unit using educational platforms in teaching social studies on enhancing some geographical culture dimensions among students of Al-Azhar Qira'at Institutes. To attain the purpose of the research, the researcher utilized both descriptive and experimental methods (quasi-experimental design) with its pretest-posttest control/experimental groups design. Participants of the study comprised (60) first-year students in the Tajweed stage at the Qira'at Institute in Tanta, Al-Gharbia Al-Azhar region, Gharbia Governorate during the first semester of the academic year 2023/2024. They were chosen and divided into two groups: a control group (n=30) and an experimental group (n=30). The experimental group received the instruction through the scientific miracle approach of the Holy Qur'an, using the (Moodle) platform to develop some geographical culture dimensions, whereas the control group was instructed regularly. Instruments of the study were a cognitive test of the geographical culture and a geographical culture scale to assess the emotional aspect. Results revealed that there was a statistically significant difference at the level of (0.01) between the mean scores of the experimental and the control group students in the pre and post administrations results of the geographical culture test and the geographical culture scale results in favour of the post administration, which confirms the effect of the developed unit based on the scientific miracle approach of the Holy Qur'an using the (Moodle) platform on developing some geographical culture dimensions among first-year students of the Tajweed stage at the Qira’at Institute.
