The Predictive Abilityof Emotional Thinking with Emotive Recovery among the Orphans in Makkah Province

Abstract

The study aimed to figure out the level of the emotional thinking and emotive recovery among the orphans at Makkah, examine the predictive ability of the emotional thinking with emotive recovery and discover the differences between them according to the demographic variables of : (gender -  residence either in the orphanage or with families). The researcher adopted the descriptive, predicative approach. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher prepared the emotional thinking scale and the emotive recovery scale and the study sample consisted of (420) orphans, who were randomly selected from the study population. The results indicated that the emotional thinking level among the orphans was moderate, and the emotive recovery level was also moderate among orphans. The study results also showed statistically significant differences at sig. (α≤0.05) in the level of the emotional thinking among the orphans at Makkah due to the variables of (gender, and residence), statistically significant differences at sig. (α≤0.05) in the level of the emotive recovery among the orphans at Makkah due to the variables of (gender, and residence) and finally the possibility of predicting the level of the emotional thinking through the emotive recovery among the orphans in Makkah Province. Based on the results, the study recommends the need for holding programs and training courses in the orphanages to encourage the orphans to develop the positive aspects in enhancing the emotional thinking and the emotive recovery among orphans in addition to the need for employing the emotional thinking in developing the positive aspects of the orphan’s personality to achieve the emotive recovery.
