Abstract

This study explored the Islamic methodology in educational leadership and extracted several of its applications in the contemporary context. To achieve this objective, a descriptive-inductive methodology was employed. The study comprised a general framework that included its introduction, problem statement, research questions, objectives, significance, methodology, and literature review. It was then divided into three main dimensions. The first dimension presented the educational aspects in Islam, while the second dimension addressed the prominent leadership skills in Islamic educational leadership. The third dimension covered the educational applications of the Islamic methodology in educational leadership. The study concluded with the key findings, recommendations, and suggestions with further research. The results revealed that the characterization of educational leadership are personal and humane traits, organizational values, and human relations. Educational leadership comprised four elements: the leader, influence, community, and goal achievement. Prominent skills required for Islamic educational leadership included positive role modeling, responsibility, as well as human, technical, and cognitive skills. The Islamic methodology for educational leadership entailed various educational applications, including those related to foundational aspects, leadership principles, the responsibilities of educational leaders, avoidance of certain prohibitions in educational leadership, and the promotion of leadership values.
