The reality of professional development for technical mentors in Al-Azhar secondary education and proposals for its development

Abstract

            The research aims to monitor the reality of professional development for technical mentors in Al-Azhar secondary education and proposals for developing it, through knowing the theoretical foundations of professional development for technical mentors in light of contemporary administrative thought, as well as identifying the reality of professional development for technical mentors in Al-Azhar secondary education in Egypt through regulations, laws and the results of some Previous relevant studies, and the opinions of study sample members. The current study relied on the descriptive approach, and used the questionnaire as a tool that was applied to a sample of (318) technical supervisors from Al-Azhar secondary education in some educational regions (Cairo, Gharbia, Sohag) in order to identify; The degree of achievement of professional development practices for technical mentors in Al-Azhar secondary education, and proposals for developing them. The study reached a set of results, including: that the degree of professional development practice for technical mentors in Al-Azhar secondary education came in at a “medium” degree, with the order of the sub-dimensions of the same axis; According to the weighted average; It is clear that the professional development goals dimension comes in first place in terms of the degree of verification, followed by the professional development programs dimension in second place in terms of the degree of practice, then I come with it in the same order after the methods in second place in terms of the degree of practice, followed by the foundations dimension of professional development. Ranked fourth in terms of degree of practice. The degree of approval for proposals to develop the professional development of technical mentors in Al-Azhar secondary education was “large.”.
