To achieve this goal, a questionnaire was designed to survey the views of faculty members. The research sample was chosen, which consisted of 200 faculty members in the Faculty of Education at Al-Azhar University in Cairo. For this purpose, the descriptive approach was used. The questionnaire was applied to the faculty members. After statistical processing as well as interpretation of the results, the research emphasizes the necessity of employing green technology in the educational system to preserve the educational environment and reduce electrical energy consumption, in addition to alleviating pollution problems. The employment of green information systems will be fulfilled in light of the most important international standards that aim to employ green technology in many educational institutions to preserve the environment and achieve sustainable development.
