Teaching Arabic to non-native speakers remotely (realistic solutions - and future visions)

Abstract

This research paper aimed to identify some of the problems facing non-Arabic language learners during their distance learning, and to propose some appropriate solutions to these problems, as well as to propose some future visions that help in overcoming current and future challenges and obstacles.
To achieve this, the current research relied on the descriptive analytical approach, and a questionnaire was designed as a tool for collecting data. The study sample amounted to about (100) teachers who specialize in the field of teaching the Arabic language to non-native speakers. The research came up with a set of solutions and proposals that contribute to treating and resolving this problem. Among the future visions proposed by the study are: employing the use of virtual reality and augmented reality to provide rich learning experiences, investing in artificial intelligence in analyzing learners’ performance, creating virtual classrooms, creating electronic games that develop Arabic language skills and arts, and investing in algorithms in learning systems to modify educational content. According to the individual requirements and needs of learners, using hologram technology in teaching the Arabic language to non-native speakers, and employing metaverse technology in teaching the Arabic language to non-native speakers remotely from.
