The Counternutation Degree of Emotional Intelligence Practices for School Leaders on The Level of Quality of Working Life for Teachers in Elementary Schools at Makkah City

Abstract

The study identifies the counternutation degree of Emotional Intelligence practices for school leaders (self-conscious, managing self-emotions, coordinating others' emotions, sympathy, and communication) on the level of quality of working life for teachers (work and life balance, wages and incentives, job growth, leadership and supervision styles, and job satisfactions). Second, reveal the correlation between the two topics. Third, discover if there are significant differences in teachers' perceptions. The study follows descriptive, predictive correlational methods, and apply questionnaire on (371) elementary teachers at Makkah city. The results show that the degree of school leaders' emotional intelligence practices and their domains are (High). The level of teachers' quality of working life and its domains are (High). The study predicts (High) counternutation degree of study's variables around (64.53%), specially (sympathy) as an Emotional Intelligence variable has highly affected the level of quality of working life around (58.53%). The study recommends with the care of officials in the Department of Education to qualify primary school teachers and invest in developing and training teachers on emotional intelligence skills, Because of its impact on their job quality and the quality of their education for primary school students.
