Abstract

This research aimed to elucidate the prominent features of the Islamic perspective of the human-universe relationship and its subsequent reflections on educational policy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The researcher employed deductive and inductive methods, along with documentary research, to address the research questions. The key findings of the research are summarized as follows:

The Islamic perspective of the universe underscores that the cosmos, including its heavens, earth, celestial bodies, and all that they contain, is a creation of Allah. It is entirely subject to His command and decree, continuously evolving, and created for a profound divine purpose. This perspective encompasses both the observable and the hidden aspects of the universe.
The Islamic perspective of humanity highlights that humans are unique creations of Allah, composed of three fundamental components: the physical, the spiritual, and the intellectual. The Quran provides detailed insights into the creation of humans, their various stages, and their ultimate purpose, which is to worship Allah, obey His commands, and follow His guidance. After death, each soul will be held accountable for its deeds in the worldly life, and will be rewarded or punished accordingly in the hereafter.
The key dimensions of the relationship between humans and the universe include:
Both humans and the universe are creations of Allah, sharing a common bond of servitude and submission to Him.
The universe serves as the second source of knowledge for humans.
Humans are instructed to learn from and benefit from the universe.
Humans are obligated and guided by Allah to explore, contemplate, and study the universe for its knowledge, lessons, treasures, and insights.
Humans are responsible for preserving the integrity of their world and the other realms of the universe.
