Abstract

The current study aimed at identifying differences in the dimensions of burnout namely (emotional stress, dull feelings, lack of sense of achievement), and its total degree according to some demographic variables, namely (gender, educational qualification, and years of experience), among a sample of (200) male and female teachers from Al-Azhar institutes of different stages in Sohag Governorate. their ages ranged between (30-55) years, with an average age of (39.53) years, and a standard deviation of (8.19). After applying the burnout scale, prepared by: (Maslach & Jackson: 1981) on the sample members. The results showed that there were statistically significant differences between males and females in the dimensions of burnout and its total degree in favor of males. The results also indicated that there were statistically significant differences in the dimensions of burnout and its total degree due to the teaching experience of less than ten years, and the results indicated that there were no statistically significant differences in the dimensions of burnout and its total degree due to academic qualification.
