The Status Quo of Quality Student Services at Al-Azhar University " a field study"

Abstract

 The study aimed at developing a proposed perspective to improve the student services of Al-Azhar University based on the total quality management approach. To achieve this, the descriptive approach was used, and the questionnaire was used to collect data and information from the study sample individuals: from (Students) on the status quo of student services at Al-Azhar University. The study also found that the status quo of student services quality at Al-Azhar University from the viewpoints of the study sample ranged from medium to weak. The total status quo of the student services quality is weak. The study found that there were statistically significant differences between the responses of the study sample members according to the variable (nature of the faculty: Sharia or Arab/ theoretical, human/practical and applied) in favor of (practical and applied), according to the variable (location of the faculty: Cairo/Lower Egypt /Upper Egypt) in favor of (Cairo), according to the variable (faculty accreditation: accredited/not accredited) in favor of (the accredited faculties). The study came up with a proposed perspective for improving student services considering the total quality management approach by improving (Admission and Registration Services - Study and Examination Services - Student Housing Services - Nutrition Services - Medical Services - Office Services - Financial and non-financial Services - Academic Counselling Services - Vocational and Career Counselling Services - Student Activity Services).
