Differences in some mental disorders For children with cancer and normal patients

Abstract

   The  current research aimed  to determine the  differences in some psychological  disorders (communication disorder , low-self  esteem  , Depressing symptoms,  (concern of death) among the children of cancer patients and normal  children, the sample of research was(80) children(50) of them were children cancer patients, and 30 of them were  non cancer patients at the Dar Elsalam   hospital for cancer in Cairo,  their ages were from (9:12)  their average age is “11.05” and a standard deviation  0.981   the standards of the communication disorder, low-self esteem ,  the standard  of the depressing  symptoms and the standard  of concern of death were  used and  prepared by the researchers. The results showed that there are statistical differences’0.01” between the medium grades of the children of cancer patients and the normal, on the standard of the communication disorder, on the standard of the depressed symptoms for the children of cancer patients, on the standard of the low-self esteem for the children of cancer patients. The results showed that there were statistical differences between the medium grades of the children of cancer patients and the normal., on the standard of concern of death for the children of cancer patients. The results of the research assured that there are no statistical differences between the medium grades of the children of cancer patients the males and females on the standard of the psychological disorders.
