Abstract

The current research aimed to determine quality standards for designing and producing 3D instructional models. In order to achieve its goal, the research adopted the descriptive method, in analyzing the related literature, to form an initial list of quality standards for designing and producing 3D instructional models. After building this list, it was introduced to a group of (17) specialists and experts in the field of methodology and instructional technology, to identify the range of importance of the main fields and it indicators, By statistically analyzing the data using the Chi-square method and the relative weight, the calculated value of (Chi-2) for the degree of importance of the standards and their indicators ranged between (6.19: 34.40) which are statistically significant values at the level of (0.05); whereas the relative weight of the experts and specialists responses ranged between (2.35: 3.00), which are high values, that confirms the importance of the standards and their relevance to their own indicators. Therefore the list of standards included: Three main domains. The first one includes educational standards and includes four main fields and twenty-five indicators; While the second includes technical standards and includes two main fields and seventeen indicators; The third includes technical standards distributed over six main fields, and thirty-six indicators. Consequently, the final form of the standards list consists of twelve main fields and seventy-eight indicators. In light of these findings, some recommendations and suggestions were presented.
