The Organizational Climate in Kuwaiti Middle Schools from Teachers' Perspectives: A Study of Selected Variables

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the organizational climate in Kuwaiti middle schools from the teachers' perspectives, considering certain variables. The descriptive method was employed, and data was collected through a questionnaire. The study was conducted on a sample of 183 middle school teachers, selected based on gender, specialization, and qualification variables. The results indicated that the organizational climate in terms of participation and decision-making was moderate. Furthermore, the organizational climate related to communication was moderate, while the climate concerning incentives was high. However, the climate related to technology was perceived as low. The study found no statistically significant differences in responses based on gender or specialization, but differences were noted in relation to qualification in favor of educators with a pedagogical qualification. The study's recommendations emphasized the importance of conducting meetings and training programs to raise awareness about organizational climate and its implementation in Kuwaiti middle schools. It also suggested training educational personnel in utilizing technology in the teaching process, seeking insights from developed countries' experiences in organizational climate practices, and forming expert committees to address challenges hindering the implementation of a positive organizational climate in middle schools.
