Abstract

The current research aims mainly to identify the most important opportunities offered by the digital age, through which the model of the productive university can be achieved, The descriptive analytical approach was used by extrapolating studies related to its subject, reviewing the philosophy of the producing university, its components, the most important justifications for the transformation towards it, and the most important challenges to the transformation towards this model, and then to identify the data of the digital age that contribute to the promotion of university funding through some mechanisms and components. The research concluded with a range of findings, the most important of which was that all universities have the material and human resources to adopt the model of the productive university, especially in light of the enormous data of the digital age, which has opened up multiple areas to contribute to the financing of higher education, such as training courses, consultancy and distance education. The study recommended that the model of producing universities in higher education should be adopted, especially in light of the current inability of university funding to meet the various requirements for the advancement of higher education and scientific research, and to engage in genuine partnership. with society.
