Activating the professional performance of the social worker to achieve environmental balance

Abstract

 The aim of the current research is to identify the obstacles to the professional performance of the social worker to achieve environmental balance in order to reach proposals for activating the professional performance of the social worker to achieve environmental balance. The research used the descriptive approach as the appropriate approach for the purpose and nature of the research.  For the social worker in primary schools to achieve environmental balance from the point of view of the study sample, and it was applied to (70) social workers in primary schools affiliated to the Al-Waili and Nasser Educational Administrations, and the results of the study showed the obstacles to the professional performance of the social worker to achieve environmental balance, as follows:(90.9%),then the dimension of occupational obstacles with a rate of (90.2%), then the dimension of administrative obstacles with a rate of (89.3%), then in the last order the dimension of societal obstacles with a rate of (86.8%), and in view of the results it indicates that the general average of the obstacles as a whole reached a percentage of (  89.3%, which is a high level, and the research reached a set of proposals represented as follows: Material Proposals: The first order came to provide the basic tools for the social worker to carry out environmental activities at a rate of (99.5%), then to provide resources to carry out environmental activities to enable students to achieve environmental balance at a rate of (99.5%). (97.6%). As for the professional proposals: in the first order, the provision of professional preparation for social workers in the school came at a rate of (98.6%), followed by the availability of training programs for achieving environmental balance with a rate of (94.8%), and the administrative proposals: in the first order came good planning.  Followed by the second rank, the school staff’s understanding of the importance of the professional environmental role of the social worker with a rate of (95.7%), and finally the societal suggestions: the first rank came to change the negative attitudes of the community members towards the role of the social worker with a rate of (93.8%), followed by the second rank to strengthen the bonds or relationships between School and environmental institutions with a rate of (93.3%).
