Abstract

The research aimed to reveal the general philosophy for the upbringing and education of the blind from an Islamic perspective, and to know the history of teaching the Holy Qur’an to the blind in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, and to clarify the concept of (availability) in Islamic education and its educational applications in teaching the blind, and the research adopted the fundamentalist approach. The study consisted of the following axes: The general philosophy for the upbringing and teaching of the blind from an Islamic perspective. The history of teaching the Holy Quran to the blind in Al-Azhar Al-Sharif. The concept of (availability) in Islamic education and its educational applications in teaching the blind. The study reached several conclusions, the most important of which are: In the light of Islam, the blind were transformed from a wheelchair to a leader who leads people, but rather societies and countries, with his faith, religion, thought and mind. Al-Azhar Al-Sharif achieved parity between the sighted and the blind in terms of providing educational services and psychological and social care, and that achieving accessibility in its broad sense and taking all possible measures to achieve the greatest amount of justice in its various forms is the way to reduce the deliberate and unintentional discrimination imposed by reality with the lack of opportunities for social rehabilitation and not Especially in cases of people with disabilities, including the blind, as Islam rejects discrimination in all its forms and manifestations.
