The Effectiveness of E-Portfolio in Developing Formal dialogue skills and Informal dialogue skills among Nonnative Speakers of Arabic Language Students at the Intermediate level: Quasi-experimental Research

Abstract

The purpose of the current study was to investigate the effectiveness of E-Portfolio in Developing formal dialogue skills and Informal dialogue skills of non-native Arabic speakers.
Instrumentations of the current study included: A checklist of Informal dialogue skills and Formal dialogue skills suitable for non-native Arabic learners at the Intermediate level,
. In addition to a situational test and a scoring rubric for Formal dialogue skills and Informal dialogue skills,. The researcher also prepared the experimental treatment, (i.e. the instructional program based on the E-Portfolio). The mixed methods was utilized in this study. Participants of the study were (10) Male students. After their study of the program and post administering of the study instruments, results revealed that there were statistically significant differences in the pre and post administration in the Formal dialogue skills and Informal dialogue skills in favor of the post administration. The results indicated the effectiveness of the proposed program in developing Informal dialogue skills and Formal dialogue skills among the participants
