The research sample consisted of (150) members of the teaching staff at the Faculty of Education in Cairo, Al-Azhar University. The researcher administered scales of Psychological Resilience (prepared by Emad Mukhaimer, 2002), Job Satisfaction, and Scientific Research Motivation scales (prepared by the researcher) to collect data. Results revealed that the level of job satisfaction of the faculty members was moderate. There was a statistically significant positive relationship between psychological resilience, job satisfaction and scientific research motivation. In addition, there was a statistically significant positive relationship between job satisfaction and scientific research motivation. Results also showed significant differences in job satisfaction due to the academic degree (Lecturer/Assistant Professor) in favor of the degree of Assistant Professor.
