Abstract

To achieve this goal, a list of reading comprehension skills suitable for students was prepared, a reading comprehension test was designed, and a guide for the teacher was intended to teach the reading subjects assigned to the students, in accordance to the procedures of the intervention response strategy.
The research sample consisted of "68" male and female students from the fifth grade of elementary school, and used the semi-experimental approach, which relies on the experimental design with two groups, to measure the effect of the independent variable on the dependent variable, as a test was applied before and after on the experimental and control groups of fifth grade students.
The research reached several results, the most important of which is the effectiveness of using the strategy of response to intervention in developing reading comprehension skills, and presented a number of recommendations and suggestions.
