The digital competencies which necessary for Al-Azhar primary stage teachers to memorize the Holy Qur’an and the degree of awareness of them.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the digital competencies which necessary for Al-Azhar primary stage teachers to memorize the Holy Qur’an and the degree of awareness of them. By Using the descriptive approach, the researcher prepared a list of (32) digital competencies, distributed on the following fields : cultural competencies in memorizing the Holy Qur’an, competencies of using Internet in memorizing the Holy Qur’an, The competencies of using electronic applications in memorizing the Holy Qur’an, and the competencies of producing digital Qur’anic content, and digital communication competencies to memorize the Holy Qur’an, competencies of the digital calendar for memorizing the Holy Qur’an, and a scale of teachers’ awareness of the digital competencies necessary for memorizing the Holy Qur’an was prepared, and it was applied on a sample of teachers of the Holy Qur’an in Al-Azhar primary stage. The research revealed number of results, the most important of which are: the presence of an acceptable degree of awareness in the field of digital culture, and this appeared in their interest and awareness of cultural digital competencies in memorizing the Holy Qur’an. The results showed a weakness in the digital competencies associated with Internet, digital memorization through electronic applications, and the competencies of the digital calendar for memorizing the Holy Qur’an, and the research recommends: the necessity of preparing training courses for teachers in competencies of memorizing the Qur’an digitally, and reviewing the programs for preparing teacher of legal sciences in the faculties of education, and the Faculty of the Holy Qur’an according to the requirements of digitization and digital transformation.
