Digital competencies needed to prepare a geography teacher in light of the requirements of internationalization of Education

Abstract

The current study targeted the knowledge of the digital competencies necessary to prepare the geography teacher in the light of the requirements for the internationalization of education, and the study population is one of the students of geography teachers at the Faculty of Education in Cairo, Al -Azhar University, and the study sample was represented by students of the fourth year Division of Geography for the academic year (2022/2023 AD), and their number ( 369) Students, The current study answers the question of what the digital competencies needed to prepare the geography teacher in the light of the requirements for internationalizing education, and the question of the availability of digital competencies among students of geography teachers, and the study used the descriptive curriculum in order to collect data and information on digital competencies, and to internationalize education in developing teacher preparation programs, and was prepared The list of digital competencies in light of the requirements for the education of education necessary to prepare a geography teacher, and consisted of three competencies, In the light of which the questionnaire of digital competencies was built and the standard characteristics of the phenomenon from the apparent honesty and steadfastness using the internal consistency Alfronbach, and the study reached a perception of a proposal for the digital competencies necessary to prepare the geography teacher, the weak availability of digital competencies among students of geography, and the study recommends strengthening these competencies and including them in The teaching methods course as well as the computer course in education in the geography teacher preparation program; To meet the requirements of the digital age in teaching.
