A Suggested Proposal for Developing the Professional Development of Pre-university Education Teachers in Kuwait in Light of the Experiences of Some Countries

Abstract

This study aimed to present a suggested proposal  for developing professional development of pre-university education teachers in Kuwait in the light of the experiences of some countries. The first dimension dealt with the general framework of the study in terms of the introduction, the problem of the study, its questions, objectives, importance, approach and limits, then previous studies.  The second dimension tackled the conceptual framework of the professional development, dealing with the concept of professional development for teachers, its objectives, importance, fields and obstacles. The third dimension dealt with the experiences of some developed countries in the field of professional development for teachers. The fourth dimension presented the proposed vision for the development of professional development for teachers of pre-university education, which included the suggested proposal goal, premises and dimensions as well as the requirements and procedures for their implementation, then the study concluded with the most prominent recommendations and proposals.
