Abstract

The study aimed at proposing some techniques which can make the best use of the international comparative studies in planning educational policy in Egypt. This can be done through identifying the intellectual perspectives so as to adopt the international dimension in planning educational policy, scoping the fields of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development OECD studies as model for international Comparative studies and their benefits in planning educational policy and analyzing the basic components that utilizes the international Comparative studies of OECD in planning educational policy in Egypt. The study adopted the descriptive approach, and proposed a set of techniques to enhance the benefit from international comparative studies in planning educational policy in Egypt, among them: (the research / futurology dimension - the strategic informational dimension – the directive leadership dimension - the methodological dimension - the educational and awareness dimension - the institutional and procedural dimension - the professional human dimension). The study recommended coordination between the various agencies to plan educational policy and follow up its implementation through supporting technical networks, employing digital transformation applications that provide and analyze digital data and information in a global framework, in a way that provides various alternatives to help decision-makers in planning educational policy.
