The effect of the interaction between the content presentation style (interactive class point - infographic) in an e-learning environment and the cognitive style (analytical - holistic) in developing academic engagement among female students of the Faculty of Home Economics, Al-Azhar University

Abstract

The current research aims to developing academic engagement among female students of the Faculty of Home Economics, Al-Azhar University Throw identify the impact of the interaction between the content presentation style (interactive class point - infographic) in an e-learning environment and the cognitive style (analytical - holistic), and the research sample consisted of one hundred and sixty first-year students. They were divided into four experimental groups (interactive in class point - analytical, interactive in class point - holistic, infographic - analytical, infographic inclusive). Statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental groups in the post-measurement of academic engagement due to the different style of content presentation (interactive class point - infographic) in favor of class point interactive content presentation regardless of the cognitive style (analytical - holistic), and the presence of statistically significant differences between The average scores of the experimental groups in the dimensional measure of academic engagement are due to the difference of the cognitive method (analytical - holistic) in favor of the analytical cognitive method regardless Considering the content presentation style (interactive class point - infographic), in addition to the presence of statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental groups in the dimensional measurement of academic engagement due to the interaction between the content presentation style (interactive class point - infographic) in the e-learning environment and the cognitive style (analytical) - comprehensive), and the results showed that the best groups were the group that studied through the content presentation style (class point interactive - analytical), and they also showed that the interaction is ordinal, meaning that the content presentation style (interactive class point) is always better than the content presentation style (infographic) with the cognitive method (analytical – holistic).
