Environmental Awareness Related to Climate Change Among Secondary School Students in the State of Kuwait and its Relationship to their Social Responsibility

Abstract

The study aimed to reveal of environmental awareness associated with climate change and its relationship to the level of social responsibility among a sample of Kuwaiti secondary school students. To achieve this goal, the descriptive approach was used. The questionnaire was relied on to collect data, and the study was applied to a sample of (324) secondary school students distributed according to the variables of gender, region, and grade. It was average, and that there was a positive correlation between the level of social responsibility and the level of environmental awareness. The results also indicated that there were no differences in the responses of the study sample due to the gender or region variable, while there were statistically significant differences in their responses due to the grade variable in favor of the third secondary grade compared to in the first and second grades.
